It might seem impossible at first, but hear me out. Someone suggested that the unbalanced prisoner exchange that President Joe Biden, his administration, and Russian President Vladimir Putin made could have a positive outcome for the United States as well as former President Donald Trump.
We wrote about this earlier in the day, but it was not just Americans or Russians involved. Prisoners from other countries were also included. It allowed violent and dangerous Russian criminals to be released.
Trump posted a message on his Truth Social page Thursday morning saying that this deal isn’t good for us.
When will they release details about the prisoner exchange with Russia? How many prisoners do we have compared to them? Do we pay them in cash as well? “Are they paying us in cash? (Please remove that question because I am sure the answer is no)?” asked the former president.
“Are you releasing killers or thugs?” “Just curious, because we don’t make good deals at anything. But especially hostage exchanges,” Trump said.
The former president went on to say that paying cash to an opponent country is “a bad precedent for the future.”
They are extorting America. He wrote: “They call the trade complex – This is so no one can understand how bad it is!”
Trump’s VP candidate visited the Southern Border in the Copper State on Thursday after an energizing rally in suburban Glendale Arizona.
Vance believes that the fact that the Americans are being brought home is a positive for the U.S. and, of course, Trump. This is because it shows the level of concern foreign leaders, like Putin, have when the former president returns to the White House during the election.
Vance made the remarks during an interview on CNN while he was reviewing conditions at the border. Vance said to CNN:
We want these Americans back home. Vance stated that it was absurd they were even in prison.
“But why are they returning?” “I think the bad guys are cleaning up because they know Donald Trump is about to return to office,” he said. “That’s good, and I believe it’s a testament to Donald Trump’s strength.”
CNN is not happy to have to report this viewpoint from Vance. Its headline for the story reads: “JD Vance thanks Trump for the prisoner exchange Biden negotiated.” The Hill reported that they even asked the White House to comment on Vance’s remarks. Biden’s national security adviser Jake Sullivan responded, “I don’t follow.”
It’s almost hard to feel sorry for the old media, and CNN in particular. But then you realize that this is CNN. A network that has such a poor rating that it cannot stop stepping in its shoes. It’s good to see the normalcy here continue.
