In this election as in almost all elections, “It’s the economy, stupid” applies.
Kevin O’Leary, of “Shark Tank”, slammed Kamala Harris’ economic plan in a Monday interview with Fox Business’s Stuart Varney. He called it “Bidenomics 1.0.”
Kevin O’Leary, of FOX Business’ “Shark Tank”, said that investors were “shocked by the Vice President Kamala Harris’ rehash of President Biden’s agenda on economics.
Mr. Wonderful, the Chairman of O’Leary Ventures and also known as “Mr. Stuart Varney spoke to Mr. Wonderful ahead of the Democratic National Convention. He shared that he was not happy with the Democratic candidate’s plan to implement price control if elected.
“I have spoken to dozens of investors and we are quite shocked just from 30,000 feet. We thought Harris would reboot her entire position to the center. It was a way to bring swing voters along with her by using a middle-of-the-road strategy. He said that instead, “we’re getting Bidenomics v2.0, which is shocking”.
I think I understand the problem. “We thought Harris would reboot her entire position to the middle.”
She would never do something like that.
Mr. O’Leary assumed the typical tactic used in presidential elections. In normal cycles, a Democrat candidate may run left in the primaries, but once the nomination has been secured, will shift back to a more moderate position to cement moderate and independent voters. All of them do it. It’s cynical, dishonest and all done in the name of winning.
But Kamala Harris doesn’t fit the mold. She is a creature from the extreme left and has chosen another one as her running mate. She’s not savvy or clever enough to use the usual deceptive tactics, so she’s been open about her economic plans. They are as disastrous as anyone who has enough brains for sand can tell you they will be. She’ll be promoting her economic plans this week at the Democratic National Convention, so expect her to go a little crazy.
O’Leary continued:
You can see that the rally proposals are the same as what they have been promoting for the past 36 months. “You’ve got price control, price-fixing, and patina over it. We know that doesn’t work.”
Harris announced last Wednesday that she would institute a federal ban on price gouging of food and grocery items as president to prevent “big corporations” from taking advantage of consumers. This proposal was quickly surrounded by controversy, with mainstream media outlets even questioning its logic.
Fox Business uses a polite phrase to describe these proposals as the dumbest economic move in history since the German Papiermark. We American voters do have some advantages: Kamala Harris, who is economically illiterate, and her running mate, one of few American politicians capable of challenging her, are both clueless, as is her campaign team.
Remember that Harris’s economic ignorance won’t suffice to stop the unrelenting hatred of the traditional media for all things Trump. Many Americans are smart enough, however, to see right through this bunkum. Hopefully, that will be enough for them to stop Kamala Harris from ever implementing any of her horrendous plans.
