Former president Donald Trump stated Thursday at a Mar-a-Lago press conference that Vice President Kamala Harris has been “extremely bad for Israel and she’s been very bad towards Jewish people.”
Trump was answering a question after Harris suggested that she would open up to a discussion with anti-Israel activists regarding an arms embargo against Israel in exchange for Michigan voters’ support. (Harris’s campaign tried to retract that statement later, saying that she was open to engaging anti-Israel voters but would still support Israel.)
Harris declined to nominate Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro is Jewish and she chose him as her running mate despite the fact he heads a swing state. Anti-Israel activists in the party launched an antisemitic attack against him.
Trump said:
Kamala supports the idea of Israel not receiving weapons. Yeah. It’s true. She has done a lot of damage to Israel and to the Jewish people. If anyone I know who is Jewish would vote for Kamala instead of me, I think they need to have their heads examined. You should think about the fact that I gave Israel the Golan Heights and the capital, Jerusalem. I built the embassy. I did not give them any Iran deal. They didn’t use it. Iran was insolvent, so we could have done a deal easily. I would have gotten a deal done in one week following the election. With Iran. It’s simple: Iran cannot have a nuke weapon. We could have got along with Iran. It was something I looked forward to. I was okay with Iran. We hit them hard a few times, but Iran was fine. But I did get them – I terminated the deal. I obtained the Abraham Accords. All said it was impossible. I was able to get them the Abraham Accords. She has been disrespectful and very bad towards Jewish people and Israel. Any Jewish person who votes for Kamala, and her friend — I’m not sure if she knows him, but I think he’s not too good — anyone who votes for these people, if they’re Jewish or love Israel, should have their head examined.
In the 18 days that Harris has been running her campaign, she has refused to give interviews or hold press conferences.
Trump also stated that the terror attack on October 7, by Hamas, would not have occurred under his watch.
Hamas has not launched any large-scale attacks against Israel during the four years that Trump was president.
