TX Woman Arrested Near White House with Unlicensed Firearm After Threatening Trump

The woman was from San Antonio, Texas. She was arrested in Washington, DC, on Friday for allegedly threatening Donald Trump, the former president. This news comes after a gunman attempted to assassinate Trump during his July 13 rally.

KENS 5 reported that the Metropolitan Police Department received information regarding the suspect Christina Montoya. She had traveled to Washington, D.C., where police discovered a firearm without a license and a magazine. Trump, however, was said to have been in the Hamptons that day meeting with donors.

The outlet added that it was unclear what type of threats she made against Trump, and also when they were made. However, the police report states an “offense start date” of July 20, 2024.

According to a police document, MPD had arrested Montoya at a distance of less than one mile from Capitol Hill. She was also about three miles away from the White House. Authorities claim that Montoya had a gun and magazine with her when she was arrested.

Trump, who spoke at a rally in Atlanta on Saturday, credited God with his survival after the failed assassination during his outdoor speech in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Trump called the Secret Service agents who protected him “brave” after Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire.

Then he spoke of the bullets that whizzed past him.

“The first was not good, not good. It was truly something amazing. It was God. It was God. The chances are…that was from God. “For all you non-believers out there, this one was from God,” he said.

A bullet punctured Trump’s upper ear during the shooting. The left side of his face was swollen.

Crook was a 20-year-old man from Bethel Park in Pennsylvania. Secret Service agents shot him and killed him at the scene. The article continues:

The attack was the worst attempt on a presidential candidate or president since Ronald Reagan, who was shot as he walked to his motorcade after leaving a Washington, DC speech, in 1981. The attempted assassin was John Hinckley Jr. who was in the audience. Reagan recovered from the shooting in March 1981. James Brady, his press secretary was also shot. He became partially paralyzed.

Two other people were critically injured and one killed when a shooting occurred in Pennsylvania.

Reports at the time stated that in March 2019, West Virginia State Police closed Interstate 68 near the Maryland border for several hours after a man allegedly made threats to assassinate then-President Trump or bomb the Pentagon.

According to KENS 5, Montoya is facing charges of possessing a firearm that has not been registered, carrying a gun without a permit, and making threats against an ex-president. Donald Trump was named as the victim of this charge.”
