Fox Guarding the Henhouse? Kamala Harris Pushes to Legalize Weed, Let Convicted Dealers Run Dispensaries

Kamala isn’t too concerned about consistency, even though she’s a politician. This will do for now until someone else comes up with something better.

Bill Clinton has a reputation for squirting his finger to find out the direction of the wind before he makes a public announcement. This “triangulation” he used did produce some bipartisan results. The welfare bill is one example. Democrats are now reversing it in large parts.

Kamala’s position changes so quickly that it can make one dizzy. In Stephen Colbert’s show, she advocated not only legalizing marijuana but also placing convicted dealers as the owners of weed shops.

Mr. Fox, would you please keep an eye on this henhouse?

It is funny that when Kamala ran for the Democrat Party’s nomination in 2019, used convicts to work for California. This was before Tulsi Gaba savaged Kamala in the Democratic Party Primary debate.

California still wasn’t compliant. In November 2014 the state was required to implement a new parole determination process that would allow second-time offenders who were non-violent to be considered by the Board of Parole Hearings for parole after serving half of their sentences. The state was supposed to implement this by January 2015. In February 2014, they were instructed to “promptly” comply with the order.

Why was there a delay? According to the L.A. Times:

Some even work in prison kitchens. These prisoners earn between 8 and 37 cents per hour. Attorney General Kamala Harris’ lawyers argued that the prisons would lose valuable labor if they were released too early.

The AG’s Office tried to make fire safety a part of its brief.

At this time, giving 2-for-1 credits to all inmates in minimum custody would severely impact the participation of fire camps. California is in the middle of a very intense and difficult fire season.

Kamala’s reaction when BuzzFeed News called her two months after the initial contact was astonishment.

But, the main issue is that the AG’s Office argued to keep prisoners incarcerated to use them for cheap labor. Her AG’s Office advocated keeping prisoners in prison to allow California to use them for cheap labor. It is quite a contrast to her protestations that same year that weed dealers should not only be released but also be rewarded.

Kamala Harri, Attorney General of California is well known for her stance on marijuana.

Harris served as California’s Attorney General when she oversaw thousands of marijuana-related convictions. The critics claim that these convictions disproportionately impacted the black and brown community and that Harris’s Office fought attempts to reduce sentences and erase records.

Harris’s prosecutorial record was criticized after she admitted to smoking marijuana in high school. She was called a hypocrite by some.

It is not the marijuana that is at issue. The topic of legalization can be discussed another time. Kamala Harris’ hypocrisy is evident in her advocacy for legalizing weed and rehabilitation for weed shop owners to dealers. Yet, as California AG, she jailed thousands of people for possession of weed.

She’d probably say that her opinions “evolved.” Kamala Harris is a shrewd and opportunistic politician who will say anything to gain an advantage.

Kamala is more interested than most politicians in principles. This kind of nonsense has been heard from politicians enough. Kamala might even suggest that it’s the right time to change directions.
