Hillary Clinton Warns: Trump Poses ‘Grave Danger’ to U.S. and Global Stability Following Assassination Attempt

Hillary Clinton, a day after an unsuccessful assassination of Donald Trump, said on Monday that the former President posed a danger to the United States and the rest of the world.

Clinton said to MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow that the press was still unable to cover Trump in the way they should. “They jump from one scandal to the next… I don’t understand why the press can’t have a consistent narrative on how dangerous Trump is.” Harry Evans, the late great reporter, once said that journalists must strive to be objective. He meant that they must cover the subject.

Donald Trump is the subject in this case. His demagoguery and his danger to the United States and the rest of the world. “And stick with it.”

Clinton is promoting “Something Lost and Something Gained,” her latest memoir. This book was described as “a persuasive and fervent warning to all American Voters” this year. Clinton continued to claim Monday that the media was “merciless,” when it pointed out President Biden’s problems following his poor performance in the June debate against Trump. Trump, she said, was counting on public indifference towards his controversies.

She said that Americans must take Trump seriously, and also literally. “He’s said what he intends to do. His desire to be a tyrant, and that of his allies, is all public information. “I think that more Americans need to be willing to endure the discomfort and pain of what is, in some ways, his words and what he represents.”

She added, “We cannot go back in time and give this dangerous man a second chance to harm our country and the rest of the world.”

Clinton’s interviews followed the second attempted assassination of Trump in the last two months. Ryan Wesley Routh (58) was accused of pointing an AK-47 rifle at Trump while he played golf at his West Palm Beach club on Sunday. Secret Service fired after spotting it through a fence in front of the area where Trump was playing. Routh fled but was arrested soon after.

Another gunman opened fire on a Trump rally held in Pennsylvania in July. He wounded Trump in the ear and killed Corey Comperatore. Two other people were critically injured. Thomas Matthew Crooks was shot and killed by police.

Clinton said in an interview with MSNBC that she is “impressed” by Republicans speaking out against Trump’s return to power.

The Harris campaign has praised the support of former Vice President Dick Cheney, as well as other luminaries in previous Republican administrations. Trump remains popular among Republicans despite clinching his third consecutive nomination.

Clinton stated, “I think that many, many people have the chance to reject what Trump represents and what he offers.” “Not as many. The race is still too tight. The Electoral College remains the biggest hurdle to overcome. “I am hopeful and optimistic that Americans who don’t want to continue this politics of hatred and division will reject Trump, and that some Republicans who are aware that they cannot vote for Trump, will also end up voting for Harris-Walz.”
