RFK Jr. Hints at Key Role in a Possible Trump Administration

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the former independent presidential candidate, suggested that he could play a part in a Trump second administration.

Kennedy, an environmental lawyer and anti-vaccine advocate, launched “Make America Healthy Again,” his version of the “Make America Great Again.” campaign. In August, Kennedy suspended and endorsed Donald Trump, the former president.

Kennedy outlined a number of ideas for policy for the food industry while speaking outside the Department of Agriculture Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

When Donald Trump brings me into the building that I am standing outside right now, things won’t look like this anymore. Kennedy stated in a Monday video that American agriculture and health will return en masse.

Trump’s campaign said that discussions about who would serve in a Trump second administration were “premature”. Trump, himself, praised Kennedy for receiving the endorsement and hinted at a possible role in the administration.

“We will bring America back to health.” Who’s going to do it? Trump told a crowd in Reading, Pennsylvania that RFK Jr. has some good ideas. Kennedy will also be on Trump’s team of transition officials if he wins the election in November.

Kennedy’s campaign said on the HBO show Last Week Tonight that Trump and Kennedy discussed the “possibility of a Cabinet Position — HHS.” HHS is the Department of Health and Human Services, which oversees, among others, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the National Institutes of Health.

Scientists are concerned about Kennedy’s role, given his history of spreading false information regarding vaccines and conspiracy theories concerning new technologies like 5G. According to the World Health Organization, vaccines have prevented up to 5 million deaths per year and saved 154 million lives in the last 50 years.

Kennedy, who suspended his presidential bid this summer and urged his supporters to vote for Trump, has now re-launched his campaign.
