As Biden Falters, Kamala Harris Makes One Last Bold Move to Rescue Her Campaign

Imagine that you are an alien who has just landed on Earth. You turn on the TV to find out about American politics. You see Donald Trump in a garbage truck, Kamala Harris sounding like a speech generator, and Joe Biden biting babies. The past few days have been wild, and they’re not yet over.

 

Kamala Harris’ campaign is in danger of losing with only a few days to go until the final polls close. It’s now time to make one last desperate move to save it. She wants to let people know that she is a great uniter who is willing to listen to anyone who disagrees with her.

 

 

HARRIS: I promise to find common ground, and to use common sense to solve the problems you face. I’m not trying to score points. I want to make progress. I promise to listen to the experts, to those who will be affected by my decisions, and even to people who don’t agree with me.

 

Okay, let’s fight, everyone. This is important because, unlike Donald Trump, I do not believe that people who disagree are my enemies. He wants them to go to jail; I will give them a place at the table.

 

The best part of this clip is when people begin to heckle her during her applause line. The crowd starts to boo and groan, forcing her to pretend that they were cheering what she said. Every word and gesture is contrived.

 

 

Harris has a track record. She has a history of comparing people who disagree with her as fascists and saying that they are an existential danger to democracy. She has tried to jail her political rivals. She is known for trying to score points on the backs of Americans who are most vulnerable. She does not want to “make any progress.” She wants to continue her failed policies of the past four years.

 

It’s not a big mystery, which is why it’s only a hit with the MSNBC ‘Morning Joe” crowd. In general, anything that gets Joe Scarborough hot and bothered will probably be repulsive for the average American. Platitudes are not what people want. The people want their government to be more efficient and stop making life harder for them. Harris’ only offer is to be adamantly against the latter, and to try to change the script so late in the game is pathetic.

 

It’s too late to change this narrative. It’s not possible to go from comparing opponents to the Third Reich in Washington Mall one day earlier to preaching unification the next. This only makes her appear even more fake and inauthentic.
