Joe Rogan Shares Whose Job He’d Take If Elon Musk Acquires MSNBC

Joe Rogan, a popular podcaster, joined in the fun on Friday night by telling Elon Musk which timeslot he would prefer if he decided to buy MSNBC.

The network has experienced a lot of turmoil. Comcast, NBCUniversal’s parent company, wants to restructure, rebrand or sell.

Donald Trump Jr. saw a lightbulb above his head when he heard that news. He suggested to the X CEO that Musk purchase MSNBC.

Musk, for his part, didn’t dismiss Musk’s idea to rescue the dinosaur media outlet, asking “How much is it going to cost?”

You could immediately feel the conservative social media turn their heads, like that Chris Pratt meme surprise from “Parks and Recreation.” You know which one I am talking about.

Musk teased this possibility in a tweet that read: “The most entertaining result, especially if it is ironic, will most likely be the most likely.”

Rogan was inspired by this and decided to get in on the action.

He replied, “If you bought MSNBC, I’d like Rachael Maddow’s position,” on X. “I’ll wear the same glasses and outfit, and tell the same lies.”

You’ve got to love the idea that Rogan would do a one-hour program that would catapult ‘MXNBC,’ the new network, into the top ratings almost instantly.

We could have done without the second half. Rosie O’Donnell, Mark Cuban, and Chris Hayes have all worn the same glasses and outfits.

Hard pass.

How much fun was it to watch the MAGA Avengers discuss taking over MSNBC? Musk responded to Rogan’s email by writing “Deal.”

Musk asked Trump Jr. about the cost of the project. Trump Jr. replied that the price “can’t be high” because “look at the ratings.” The X CEO then continued to tease the idea.

He wrote in another reply to Rogan and the President’s Son, “Maybe, I should come there with a kitchen sink.”

The tweet was a reference to Musk’s purchase of Twitter, which he turned into the Mecca for free speech now known as X.

Readers will recall that this improbable story began in 2017 with Musk’s tweet, in which he told his followers “I love Twitter”, immediately followed by “How much is It?”

The next thing you know, Elon showed up at Twitter’s headquarters with a kitchen sink.

Rogan may have made a joke out of his comments, but he’s been taking on the legacy media in recent months, including a brutal attack against both MSNBC and CNN.

Rogan stated on his podcast this week that he had just read about CNN and MSNBC ratings after the election. They’ve both crashed. “All of these left-wing kooks are losing subscribers on YouTube.”

“Where people say, ‘You’re out of touch, You’re inaccurate, You’re delusional. ‘And people are speaking through their subscriptions, and they’re talking with their purchase of the Washington Post and their purchase of the New York Times.”

Musk buying a dying network is unlikely. It’s fun to speculate.

Tell me, who would you want to see joining Rogan in the new MXNBC lineup?
