Juan Williams Reveals His ‘Politician of the Year,’ and the Reaction is Hilarious

Perhaps it’s the Opposite day on planet Juan. Maybe the Fox News political expert is drinking excessively to drown his post-election woes.

Juan Williams has just written the most unintentionally funny column you have probably seen for some time.

Williams, you see, just named his “Politician of the Year.”

Was Donald Trump the obvious choice, the man who overcame a political witchhunt, indictments, arrests, and multiple assassination efforts, as well as a concerted and coordinated effort from Democrats and the media, to nominate Kamala Harris as the next president of the United States?

It seems like a logical decision. It’s one of, if not THE biggest, political comebacks of all time.

Williams, however, found someone far more deserving of the title “Politician Of The Year”.

Her name … Liz Cheney.

No, we’re serious.

Even the headline, which is an honor that he gives Liz, is remarkable. You have to read the entire column. Williams writes a column in which he compares Cheney with Joan of Arc and says that she should be remembered for her “heroic sacrifice” which is already a political legend.

Williams typing those words on his screen while keeping a straight face is a legend. Then he hit the “send” button.

Williams wrote: “The former Congresswoman rose above Washington politics as usual by taking a stand on principle that cost her friends, power, and money that come with status in Washington.”

Like a living Joan of Arc, she refused to follow orders from the wealthy and powerful to shut her eyes to any wrongdoings and line up behind Trump.

We’ll start with the following:

  • He’s calling her a winner despite having lost her “power, friends and … money.” That’s literally a very, very big loser, by definition.
  • What if the rich and powerful demanded that people support Trump? Juan, the rich and powerful, was making nightly campaign appearances and endorsements, calling Trump Hitler. Cheney did not eschew rich and powerful people, but she joined them.
  • How could this have passed the Hill’s editorial staff? One would almost think it was satire. This column could not have been made up by The Babylon Bee if they had tried.

Cheney is, in fact, the biggest political loser that we have seen in recent years. To paraphrase Linus Vanpelt, “Of the Liz Cheneys of the world, she is the Liz Cheniest.”

We won’t mention that she lost her primary by almost 40 percent, despite having represented Wyoming’s congressional district at large from 2017 to 2023. Williams refers to her as “the politician of the year” in his address.

There is proof, however, to show that Liz cost Harris important swing state votes from independents who couldn’t stomach their strange alliance.

Data for Progress, a left-leaning polling firm, found that independent voters in Michigan & Pennsylvania were “less excited” about voting for Kamala when she ran alongside Liz.

Cheney was without question the “Republican Leader in the ‘Trump Is the Devil’ Campaign,” making her an ideal candidate for the Harris campaign. But even her closest advisers realized she was an albatross, and “chose to end her campaign.”

Add to that the fact her baby, the J6 investigation into the protests, was wiped out when Special Counsel Jack Smith officially moved to dismiss the case he brought against Trump for election interference. Another victory for Trump and another defeat for Cheney.

Liz Cheney, no, Juan. She is not the politician for this year or any other. She lost badly in her primary and did all she could to stop Trump. She lost Kamala votes when Harris couldn’t have fallen any lower. She’ll never again be taken seriously by Washington.

She abandoned all conservative principles she ever held to be super, super hurt at the words of the bad, big orange man. Cheney’s entire being changed because she didn’t like one man.

There has never been a greater loser.
