As Donald Trump’s electoral victory recedes, it is important to check on your elders and see how they’re doing during this challenging time. CNN’s Manu Raju asked Nancy Pelosi about her feelings regarding her party’s humiliating defeat and Trump’s return to the White House. She has repeatedly claimed that Trump is a threat to democracy.
Her answer was… succinct. Hang in the Louvre.
Asked Pelosi how she’s doing.
“Terrible,” she said

Normally, this would be the point where I struggle to write several hundred words based on a three-syllable utterance from a politician. I mean, I’m pretty good at ranting, but “terrible” wouldn’t normally leave me much to work with. In this case, though, there’s plenty of material, and Pelosi feeling “terrible” is just about the most poetic thing I can imagine given the results of the election.
We must not forget the San Francisco liberal, who orchestrated and conceived the plot to remove President Joe Biden from the Democratic Party nomination. He had no right to be in that position. However, the primary was already over. The primary was already over. Voters had voted, and it was done. Pelosi was drunk with power and didn’t seem to care. She instead pushed along with former president Barack Obama a pressure campaign that forced Biden to step aside to make room for someone who they considered more electable.
The plan was to act as if they were monarchs ruling the masses, but it didn’t go according to plan. Kamala Harris, whom neither Pelosi nor Obama wanted to take on the role, seized the opportunity and forced the Democratic Party to comply. A coronation took place because there were no “open primaries” to consider. Pelosi’s plan was already a failure even before the election. We know what happened next.
If there’s anyone who should feel “terrible”, it’s her. Biden, on the other hand, is probably enjoying this.

I have an idea for Pelosi. She could retire if she feels that bad. She is 84. She has been in the government longer than many members of Congress. Her continued grab for power is now pathological. It’s really disturbing to watch.
Ride off into the sunset. Spend time with your grandchildren. Spend less time in the halls at Congress mumbling to yourself about how bad things are. Many people across the nation would love to retire to a fridge filled with designer ice cream worth $15,000 Pelosi is past her prime.
