Elon Musk’s and Vivek Ramaswamy’s appointment to the Department of Government Efficiency is one of Donald Trump’s most interesting ideas.
You could achieve a real change in the government. It’s probably one of the main reasons why the powers that be are trying to separate Musk from Trump and remove him from the equation. They are afraid of the free press and the changes this could bring about to the government.
Javier Milei has shown what can be done. He’s turned a deficit into a surplus for the first time in more than 100 years in their country and in such a short time in office.
How do you manage to do this? Commitment, will, and the ability to move forward!

It’s not that these are new ideas, but rather the will to act.
Musk quoted remarks made by Ronald Reagan in 1975 before he became president. It makes sense, however, when it comes to ax policy. He explains that the government took about half of America’s earnings even back then. Reagan warned against the taxes that the left imposes on business, but which ultimately fall on the people.
Very wise words

Reagan said, “We should have tax reform. We oughta begin by making it simple enough that you don’t need to hire an attorney to find out how much money you owe each year.”
He quipped, “We are the only country where it is harder to calculate your income tax than to earn it.”
There’s not much that the government can do that people cannot do for themselves. We wouldn’t miss them if the government snuck away for three weeks and closed their doors.
This is so true, and it takes on a special meaning when those in power are constantly threatening to shut down the government to pass bad bills.
Reagan then nailed the problem of “unelected bureaucracy”, which determines policy more than Congress (and may have run the country in the past four years).
Reagan’s Festivus Report and the DOGE report by Sen. Rand Paul are foreshadowed when Reagan explains that they spent $249,000 to do a study on “Demography of Happiness.”
What did they find out? He says that they discovered that younger people are happier than older people. They also found that those who earn more money are happier than those who earn less. They also found that healthy people were happier than those who were sick. “That’s $249,000 for finding out that it’s better being rich, young, and healthy than old and poor.”
Reagan declared that the answer to inflation is a budget balance. We all knew it then. Democrats and members of Congress from both parties spend as if it were going out of fashion, with no regard for the effects. Biden’s policies had a crushing effect on prices for everyone.
Carson said that you must spend less than you earn.
Reagan replied, “It is like protecting your virtue.” You must learn to say “No.” It was Johnny Carson’s death.
Reagan then asked why we couldn’t have a law requiring that whenever a member in Congress introduced a new spending program, they had to also introduce a new tax program to cover it. Then let the public know. If spending always had an obvious consequence, you would see a real slowdown in spending.
What a mess! The Office of Management and Budget cannot tell you the number of “boards and commissions, agencies and bureaus in the federal government.”
For almost 50 years, we’ve talked about it. Now, the words we’ve been saying are truer than ever. We have a golden chance.
Finally, you have Trump, Musk, and Ramaswamy who can act with force and will. They must now harness this same common sense to make it happen despite those who try to stop them.
