According to Bluesky, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the first to reach a million social media followers on their platform.

Bluesky said that Ocasio-Cortez is the first user to reach the 1,000-follower milestone. Democrats and the American left have migrated in large numbers to Bluesky from the similar social media platform X.

In a post published on Bluesky on Tuesday, the New York Democrat commented on the exodus. He said that those who “leave” X do so because “it’s no longer fun and nobody is obligated for them to be in a platform they are not enjoying.”

She added, “It is not rocket science.”

Jack Dorsey was the former CEO of Twitter. He created Bluesky as “a protocol for a public conversation” in 2019. The features are based on Twitter and include the ability to message other users, as well as discover and feed tabs.

Bluesky CEO Jay Graber stated on November 19, that in the previous week, approximately 1 million accounts were created each day.

“We have been increasing our scale. Graber told CNN that there have been around a million new users a day in the last week. “We’ve been showing people how to use it, how it is different,” Graber explained.

Many people say they are having more fun on this site. It’s a new experience for them to make friends online and talk with people. It’s something they haven’t done in a while,” she said.
