Greenville County Sheriff’s Office shared information on Facebook this afternoon.
Greenville County Bomb Team and SWAT members are helping the SC State Transport Police near mile marker 42 of Interstate 85 Northbound. They requested assistance shortly after 3:30 pm following a traffic stop. We are working with State Transport Police in response to a report about a potentially hazardous device.

What the South Carolina bomb squad did or did not find is unclear. It’s good news that the South Carolina bomb squad did well, especially in light of this week’s tragic events.
