College Republicans of America has invited Barron Trump, the youngest son of President Donald Trump, to join their organization. This comes after the chapter president of the New York University Chapter resigned due to the backlash of calling him “an oddity on campus” during a magazine interview.

According to The Daily Mail, Will Donahue said in a press release, “Barron Trump is the future of conservative politics, and we’d be honored to welcome him into College Republicans of America. Strong leadership relies on a combination of resilience, courage, and humility, which Barron has shown to rise above the petty hostility.”

Kaya Walker resigned as NYU’s chapter president on Sunday after comments she made about Barron Trump were published in a Vanity Fair article about his Greenwich Village campus social life and her comments.

Walker, a French and International Relations student, told the magazine Barron Trump is “sort of an oddity” on campus. He attends class and then goes home.

She also remembered one of her professors making fun that Barron Trump, “doesn’t belong here.”

Barron Trump is said to not be a social butterfly on campus. However, he enjoys playing video games and soccer.

Some have suggested that Trump’s son is a “lady’s man,” but according to his father, he’s never had a girlfriend.

College Republicans of America, on the other hand, criticized Walker’s comments, and she submitted her resignation to them on Sunday.

In a social media statement, the group said that Vanity Fair “unfairly framed her” and that her “inappropriate comments” don’t “align” with “the values and principles supported by our organization.” They accepted her resignation.

The group hopes for a “smooth” transition of leadership in the NYU chapter.

Barron Trump, who has been out of the limelight for many years, has become an internet star after attending his father’s various events including the inauguration.

Several students told TMZ the Trump junior spends “little” time on campus, always sits at the back of the classrooms, and “moves fast” to an SUV waiting for him after classes.

One student said, “He barely exists.” But his classmates still described him as “friendly” and “chill”.

Students said that Secret Service agents always surround Barron Trump when he is on campus. TMZ reported that he has been asking for students’ user names and gamertags on Discord, a gaming social media application, to allow them to play online video games.
