Texas Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett sparked a firestorm on social media after she told Department of Government Efficiency chief Elon Musk “f— it” as the latest in a series of public statements opposing the new agency’s efforts to reduce government waste, spending, and expenses.
Crockett responded to a reporter, Joe Gallina on Capitol Hill, Tuesday by saying “F—-off” when asked what Musk would hear from her if she had anything she wanted to share with him.
Crockett’s response immediately attracted criticism from conservatives in social media who took issue with the tone of this liberal firebrand.
The conservative account Johnny MAGA published on X, “The Face of the American Left, Ladies and Gentlemen.”
“Classy,” conservative commentator Benny Johnson posted on X.
“Jasmine Crocket = trash,” comedian Tim Young posted on X.
“Please make Jasmine Crockett the spokesperson of the Democrat Party,” former GOP congressional candidate Kathleen Anderson posted on X.
“Classy as ever…,” Washington Examiner White House correspondent Paul Bedard posted on X.

Democrats have been critical of Musk’s DOGE. They claim that it has cut important resources for the government and done so too fast.
“DOGE’s pretty cruel.” Hawaii Democratic Governor. Josh Green spoke at a news conference with Democratic Governors last week. These are dedicated people who have spent years in their states, but they get kicked out.
According to a poll that Musk has emphasized on social media in recent days, a majority support DOGE’s mission.
Harvard CAPS Harris poll found that a majority support cutting wasteful government expenditures. The nonprobability-based survey found that most voters agreed there should be an agency in government dedicated to efficiency, and DOGE was helping make significant spending cuts.
