European Leaders Slammed for ‘Creepy,’ Identical Pro-Zelenskyy Posts—What’s Going On?

Social media critics are pointing out that a few European leaders have issued pro-Ukraine statements with the same words following President Donald Trump’s heated meeting on Friday with Ukrainian President Vlodomyr Zelenskyy.

“Your dignity honors the bravery of the Ukrainian people. Be strong, be brave, be fearless. You are never alone, dear President @ZelenskyyUa. We will continue working with you for a just and lasting peace.” Read verbatim social media posts from at least five different European leaders since Friday.

On Friday, the presidents of the European parliament Roberta Metsola and Ursula von der Leyen of the European Commission, Valdis Dobrovskis of the European Commission for Trade, Manfred Weber of the European Parliament, as well as Antonio Costa, the President of European Council, all shared the same social media post, a review X shows.

The messages on social media were identical. Users criticized them for being “kinda creepy” and asked sarcastic questions like, “Has the EU used bots all along?”

Zelenskyy was asked to leave the White House by Trump on Friday, following an explosive meeting in the Oval Office. Zelenskyy left for Europe soon after. Zelenskyy can return to the White House when he’s ready for peace, Trump told Zelenskyy.

Zelenskyy and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer met on Saturday. The pair was spotted on video embracing as Zelenskyy arrived.

Starmer, while expressing the UK’s unwavering support for Ukraine on Saturday, said: “We will stand by Ukraine as long as necessary.”

Starmer, the British Prime Minister, spoke to Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron about the UK and France crafting a peace plan that would be eventually presented to the U.S.

In comments made on Sunday, the UK leader said that his nation was “ready to send boots to the ground” and aircraft to the sky to help Ukraine fight Russia. He also pledged to reach a final peace agreement.

“We discussed a plan today to reach a peace that is tough and fair, that Ukraine will help shape, that’s backed by strength, to stop Putin coming back for more,” Starmer said on Sunday. “I’m working closely with other European leaders on this, and I’m clear that the U.K. is ready to put boots on the ground and planes in the air to support a deal, working together with our allies, because that is the only way that peace will last.”

Tulsi Gabriel, the U.S. director of national intelligence (DNI), appeared on Fox News Sunday ahead of the London summit. She criticized some European countries for not supporting the U.S. in promoting freedom and achieving peace in Eastern Europe after Trump had criticized his meeting with Zelenskyy.

On Sunday, Gabbard said when she was asked about Democrat U.S. lawmakers criticizing the meeting in the White House while Russia celebrated Trump’s tense encounter with Zelenskyy.

“During Vice President Vance’s Munich speech, we heard different examples about how European partners and allies are implementing in some cases policies which undermine democracy, showing that they do not believe that the voices of people should be heard and that anti-freedom is being implemented. This is what we’re witnessing in the United Kingdom. This is what we’re seeing in Germany. We saw this with the cancellation of elections in Romania”, she said.
