U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced that on Saturday, he signed a statement to accelerate the delivery of almost $4 billion of military aid to Israel. This reverses a partial blockage of arms imposed by the Biden Administration.

Rubio stated in a press release, “The decision to reverse Biden’s Administration’s partial weapons embargo, which incorrectly held back a number ammunition and weapons from Israel is another sign Israel has no better ally at the White House then President Trump.”

It is unclear how to reach a lasting ceasefire between Israel, a long-time American ally, and the terrorist Palestinian group Hamas.

Rubio stated that since taking office, the Trump administration approved more than $12 billion worth of major military exports to Israel.

Rubio added, “This decision is important because it coincides with the President’s repealing of a Biden-era memorandum that imposed politically motivated and baseless conditions on Israel’s military aid at a moment when Israel was engaged in a battle for survival against Iran on many fronts and terrorist proxies.”

The Associated Press reported that the State Department had approved a potential sale to Israel of bombs, demolish kits, and other weapons worth nearly $3 billion.

Around 40,000 defence items were sold, including 35,000 MK 84 bombs and BLU-117 warheads, as well as 4,000 Predator missiles, worth $ 2.04 billion.

Weaponry should be available in 2026. Some items could be available for immediate delivery due to “the possibility that a portion of the procurement will come directly from U.S. stocks,” as the Associated Press cited the Pentagon.

The Department of Defense reported that Rubio approved the sale of $675,000,000 worth of munitions to Israel for 2028.

Rubio’s Saturday statement said that the Trump Administration would continue to use “all available tools” to meet America’s commitment to Israel, which includes means to counter security threats.
