California Governor Gavin Newsom recently held a rally to promote the “Election Rigging Response Act,” which proposes a new constitutional amendment. This amendment purports to maintain California’s Citizens Redistricting Commission while temporarily adopting new California congressional districts for use in congressional elections through 2030. The irony of Newsom trying to change the way redistricting is done in his state while accusing others of rigging elections is palpable.
Now, let’s say that Newsom had a sizable audience for this proposition. But the reality was far from that; his play for attention was a clear flop. Yet, he dared to be vexed about the attention Border Patrol arrests outside his event got. In his Trump Derangement Syndrome-fueled mind, he was convinced their action was directed at him. Thus, his indignation at law enforcement doing their job in his vicinity is absurd.
Newsom stated, “Trump’s third-term run was imminent, based on a ‘Trump 2028’ hat he received from one of Trump’s supporters.” By definition, this is a non-argument. If Newsom believes a hat is substantial proof, then his intellectual capacity to hold the highest office in the country is questionable. His readiness to fall for what seems like a simple troll is a testament to this.
Newsom, in his unfounded attacks, claimed that Trump “didn’t believe in free enterprise.” How can a successful businessman and real estate entrepreneur, who has consistently championed job creation in America, be against free enterprise? It’s the Democrats who have shown an inclination to control the market and dictate to the American people, not Trump.

Newsom is not a serious contender for any leadership role, let alone the highest office in the country. His claims are not rooted in fact, but rather in an irrational fear and disdain for Trump. The idea that someone who takes a hat seriously could be trusted with the nation’s highest office is laughable. Newsom’s feelings seem to be clouding his ability to think logically.
In conclusion, Newsom appears to be more focused on creating a narrative against Trump than on governing effectively. And I suspect he’ll soon be receiving a lot more ‘Trump 2028’ hats in the mail. The reality is, his Trump Derangement Syndrome is making a mockery of his office, and it’s time he focused on serving the people, rather than engaging in petty political squabbles.
