U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has called in a sharpshooter, special prosecutor Ed Martin, to aim a high-stakes investigation. At the heart of the matter? Allegations of mortgage fraud were leveled against Sen. Adam Schiff of California and New York’s Attorney General, Letitia James.
Grand juries in Maryland and Virginia are gearing up to cast their analytical gaze on Schiff and James, respectively. Our source, who prefers to remain in the shadows, tells us that Bondi has already issued subpoenas and set the wheels of a grand jury in motion, turning the heat up on the state of New York.
Bondi is trying to uncover whether Democrat James and the Empire State swung a partisan hammer at the National Rifle Association, infringing upon its First and Second Amendment rights. Consider this perspective for a moment: the battle for gun rights is intertwined with allegations of fraudulent paperwork. It’s like a wild west showdown in the courtroom.
Fox News’ senior White House editorial producer was the first to bring news of Martin’s appointment and the grand juries into the daylight. Meanwhile, Breitbart reported that Schiff is under federal scrutiny for allegedly doctoring mortgage documents to secure a sweet deal on a home loan. This follows a criminal referral from the Federal Housing Finance Agency to the Department of Justice.
The FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Albany have their investigation into James, following allegations of mortgage fraud that the Albany Times-Union first reported in May. This came about after Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Pulte penned a letter to Bondi, accusing James of falsifying records to secure a loan for a Virginia home in 2023, while she held the New York prosecutor’s chair.
Weeks before these developments, President Trump publicly called on James to resign over a separate real estate kerfuffle. James, however, has maintained her innocence, dismissing the allegations as “baseless”.
And then there’s Schiff. Trump announced last month that Fannie Mae’s Financial Crimes Division had dirt on Schiff, suggesting mortgage fraud. In the President’s words, Schiff “Needs to Be Brought to Justice”. Schiff, however, denies these allegations.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. Will Schiff and James find an escape ladder, or will the walls close in? Only time will tell, but as any new details emerge, we will keep you informed.
