The House Oversight Committee is set to gain access to previously undisclosed documents of the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to reports from MSNBC.
The documents, which are expected to be released next week, are said to include the original version of Epstein’s birthday book, flight logs, phone logs, message pads, and financial transaction records. These details were confirmed by a source in communications with Lisa Rubin, a legal correspondent for MSNBC.
Restrictions on information will only be applied to safeguard the identities and personal details of known and potential victims. No redactions are expected to be made concerning any third parties, including male associates of Epstein. This raises important questions about the potential implications for those associated with Epstein.
On Tuesday, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform publicly posted files received from the Department of Justice regarding the sex trafficking investigations into Epstein and his former companion, Ghislaine Maxwell. This development follows earlier reports that the folders contained hundreds of image files of past court filings related to Epstein and Maxwell, along with video files that seem to be body-cam footage from police searches, and interviews with victims whose faces were obscured.

It has been reported that the Department of Justice released these files in response to a subpoena. However, a majority of these files contain information that was already in the public domain. Among the newly released files were audio recordings of an Epstein employee describing to a law enforcement official how “there were a lot of girls that were very, very young” frequenting the home, though he could not definitively establish if they were minors.
