Democrats want to focus on process questions and deflect to concerns about tracking applications. This represents a fundamental unwillingness to grapple with the consequences of their policy choices. They created a system that incentivized illegal border crossings, enriched criminal cartels, and resulted in preventable American deaths.

Homan’s statement that illegal migration is not a victimless crime deserves emphasis. Every illegal crossing funds criminal organizations. Every smuggling operation potentially involves human trafficking. Every unvetted entry represents a security risk. These are not abstract policy debates but concrete realities with measurable human costs.

The contrast between the previous administration’s approach and the current one could not be starker. One lost track of 300,000 children and was not looking for them. Democrats can protest, create tracking applications, and attempt to shift focus to alleged ICE misconduct. None of this changes their record. None of this absolves them of responsibility for the consequences of their policies. As Homan noted, those who remain ignorant of the connection between illegal immigration and cartel empowerment are simply choosing willful blindness over uncomfortable facts.
