President Donald Trump announced Friday that he has directed the Department of Justice to investigate the late financier Jeffrey Epstein’s relationships with prominent Democratic figures and major financial institutions, calling Democratic attempts to link him to the scandal another manufactured political hoax.

The directive comes as Democrats have attempted to weaponize newly released emails in what appears to be yet another transparent effort to distract from their policy failures. The facts, however, point in an entirely different direction.

“Now that the Democrats are using the Epstein Hoax, involving Democrats, not Republicans, to try and deflect from their disastrous shutdown, and all of their other failures, I will be asking AG Pam Bondi, and the Department of Justice, together with our great patriots at the FBI, to investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s involvement and relationship with Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, JPMorgan, Chase, and many other people and institutions, to determine what was going on with them, and him,” Trump stated.

The president’s announcement follows the release of 50,000 pages of documents by the DOJ, which Democrats have selectively interpreted to serve their political narrative. Records demonstrate that numerous Democratic figures maintained extensive contact with Epstein, including visits to his private island.

Here are the facts: Epstein was a registered Democrat who cultivated relationships primarily within Democratic circles. Bill Clinton’s numerous trips on Epstein’s private aircraft are well-documented. Larry Summers, who served in the Clinton administration, maintained a relationship with Epstein even after his 2008 conviction. Reid Hoffman, a major Democratic donor, similarly had documented connections to the disgraced financier.

The banking angle presents another troubling dimension. JPMorgan Chase maintained a business relationship with Epstein for years, though a spokesperson for the institution claimed the bank was unaware of the full extent of his criminal activities.

“The government had damning information about his crimes and failed to share it with us and other banks,” Trish Wexler, Head of Policy and Advocacy Communications at JPMorgan Chase, stated. “We regret any association we had with the man, but did not help him commit his heinous acts. We ended our relationship with him years before his arrest on sex trafficking charges.”

This raises an obvious question: What did these institutions know, and when did they know it?

Democrats released emails Wednesday attempting to implicate Trump, including correspondence between Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. But these emails prove nothing beyond Epstein’s apparent desperation to shift blame. The claim that Trump “knew about the girls” comes from Epstein himself, a convicted sex offender and proven liar, relayed through author Michael Wolff, hardly a credible source.

The logical fallacy here is transparent. Democrats want Americans to accept the word of a dead pedophile over documented evidence of their own party members’ extensive relationships with him. This is the same playbook used during the Russia collusion hoax: take thin evidence, amplify it through friendly media, and hope the American people forget to ask basic questions.

Trump characterized the Democratic strategy accurately: “This is another Russia, Russia, Russia scam, with all arrows pointing to the Democrats.”

The timing reveals everything. As the administration advances its agenda and Democrats face political headwinds, they resurrect old scandals and manufacture new ones. The pattern is predictable because it is desperate.

The investigation Trump ordered will follow the evidence wherever it leads. If Democrats truly want transparency regarding Epstein’s connections, they should welcome this probe. Their resistance will tell Americans everything they need to know about their motivations.
