Mallory McMorrow Caught on Video Threatening Violence Against Kavanaugh and Barrett

Let’s examine the facts here, because they are rather straightforward and deeply troubling.

Michigan State Senator Mallory McMorrow, currently serving as majority whip and running in the Democrat primary for the United States Senate seat held by Gary Peters, was caught on video openly fantasizing about committing acts of violence against Supreme Court Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett. This is not speculation. This is not taken out of context. The video speaks for itself.

During what appears to be a campaign event, McMorrow fielded a question from an attendee about whether contacting Supreme Court justices regarding contentious legal matters would be worthwhile. Her response went far beyond answering the question posed.

McMorrow, identifying herself as a Notre Dame graduate, expressed her personal disgust that Justice Barrett graduated from and taught at Notre Dame Law School. She then recounted a conversation with an associate who allegedly spotted Barrett with Justice Kavanaugh at a tailgate event. McMorrow’s response to this anecdote was revealing in its candor and disturbing in its content.

“I was like, ‘I would not be able to control myself,'” McMorrow stated. “There would be beers thrown in peoples’ faces.”

Read that again. A sitting state senator and candidate for federal office openly admitted she would be unable to control violent impulses toward sitting Supreme Court justices. She fantasized about assaulting them with beer containers in a public setting.

This raises several critical questions that demand answers.

First, why does the political left continue to insist it does not have a violence problem when its candidates and elected officials regularly engage in this type of rhetoric? The pattern is undeniable at this point.

Second, where is the widespread condemnation from Democrat leadership? When conservative figures make even remotely controversial statements, the media demands immediate denunciations from every Republican officeholder in America. Yet when a Democrat Senate candidate fantasizes about assaulting Supreme Court justices, the silence is deafening.

Third, what message does this send about the left’s view of judicial independence? The Supreme Court exists as a co-equal branch of government, insulated from political pressure by design. When political candidates threaten justices with violence over their judicial philosophy, they undermine the entire constitutional framework.

This is not McMorrow’s first time in the spotlight. She has positioned herself as a rising star in Michigan Democrat politics. But this incident reveals something darker beneath the political veneer: a willingness to normalize violence against political opponents when cloaked in righteous indignation.

The threats against conservative Supreme Court justices are not new. They have become disturbingly routine since the Court began issuing decisions that progressives dislike. But normalization does not equal acceptability. Each instance must be called out and condemned.

McMorrow’s comments are disqualifying for federal office. Full stop. Anyone who cannot control violent impulses toward members of the judiciary has no business serving in the United States Senate, where she would be required to vote on judicial confirmations and interact with the very institution she apparently holds in contempt.

The facts are clear. The video is public. The question now is whether Michigan Democrats care about maintaining even a pretense of civility and respect for constitutional governance, or whether winning elections justifies any rhetoric, no matter how violent or destabilizing.
