The Criminals Biden Let Roam Free Are Finally Being Rounded Up

## When Enforcement Actually Means Something

Here’s what happened Thursday while most Americans were going about their day, unaware that convicted killers were walking among them. ICE agents fanned out across the country and arrested multiple murderers, rapists, and drug traffickers. Not people accused of crimes. Not suspects. Convicted criminals who somehow remained in this country despite their records.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Roque Cinto-Mejia from Mexico, convicted of manslaughter in Brooklyn. Alejandro De Jesus-De La Cruz, also from Mexico, convicted of voluntary manslaughter in San Bernardino. Francisco Antonio Morales-Acencio from Guatemala, convicted of rape and assault and battery of a family member in Fairfax, Virginia. These aren’t immigration statistics. They’re real people who committed real crimes against real victims, and they were still here.

“Yesterday, ICE arrested multiple murderers, rapists, and drug traffickers from our communities,” Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis told Fox News Digital. The word “communities” does heavy lifting there. These weren’t abstract threats at the border. They were your neighbors, potentially.

## The Numbers Tell a Story Politicians Won’t

Nearly 70% of ICE arrests involve illegal immigrants charged or convicted of crimes in the U.S. That’s not a talking point. That’s enforcement prioritizing actual public safety over political optics. You know what’s remarkable? That we’re even having to celebrate basic law enforcement doing its job.

For years, we’ve been told that concerns about criminal illegal immigrants were overblown, xenophobic, rooted in fear rather than fact. Meanwhile, people with manslaughter convictions were living freely in American cities. The cognitive dissonance is staggering.

“Every day, our officers are putting their lives on the line to remove criminals from our communities,” Bis added. And they are. ICE agents aren’t rounding up grandmothers at church or parents at school drop-off lines, despite what certain politicians and their media allies would have you believe. They’re targeting the worst of the worst, as DHS officials accurately describe them.

## What Changed and Why It Matters

The Trump administration’s approach represents something we haven’t seen in years: actual prioritization of American safety over political correctness. This isn’t complicated policy theory. It’s straightforward. If you’re here illegally and you’ve been convicted of violent crimes, you shouldn’t be here at all.

The previous administration treated immigration enforcement like a political liability rather than a public safety necessity. Sanctuary policies proliferated. ICE agents had their hands tied. Local jurisdictions refused to cooperate with federal authorities, releasing convicted criminals back onto streets rather than transferring them to immigration custody.

That’s not compassion. That’s negligence dressed up in progressive language.

These arrests underscore what happens when you remove bureaucratic obstacles and let law enforcement enforce laws. It’s almost quaint, this notion that laws should be followed and criminals should face consequences. But here we are in 2025, treating basic governance like a revolutionary concept.

The families of victims deserve better than political theater. They deserve a system that doesn’t allow convicted killers and rapists to remain in the country simply because removing them might generate bad headlines or upset activist groups.

Thursday’s arrests won’t make national news the way they should. They won’t spark the kind of outrage that erupts when ICE does its job. But somewhere, families are safer tonight because these criminals are finally in custody. That matters more than any narrative.
