The symbolism matters here. You’ve got a president who understands optics and substance aren’t mutually exclusive.
But let’s talk about what’s been happening on our roads. The Department of Homeland Security and Department of Transportation launched a joint investigation into truck driver schools that were handing out certifications like candy on Halloween. Improper certifications. Falsified records. Commercial driver’s licenses going to people who had no business operating an 80,000-pound vehicle down an interstate at 70 miles per hour.

The timing couldn’t be better either. We’ve got veterans transitioning out of service who need good-paying jobs with real career paths. The trucking industry, despite its challenges, still offers solid middle-class wages and independence. It’s honest work that keeps the country moving, literally.
Some people will complain about this. They always do. They’ll say it’s harsh or unfair to crack down on non-English-speaking drivers. But you know what’s actually unfair?
