On Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris was attacked on Twitter for her defense of President Biden’s comments casting doubt on the 2022 midterms.
Biden stated Wednesday that he was not going to declare the election legitimate. It’s because we have not been able to pass these reforms that there has been an increase in the likelihood of it being illegitimate.
Harris tried to avoid being questioned multiple times about Biden’s election comments. She was also unable to answer the question of whether the 2022 midterms were legitimate.
Savannah Guthrie, NBC’s Savannah Guthrie, asked: “Is President Biden really worried that we might not have free and fair elections?”
Harris assured Guthrie that Harris was consistent in his views on the issue and the matter at hand, saying Harris did not want to confuse issues.
Let’s not confuse issues. Harris said that what we were focusing on and the subject of much debate last night was that America cannot afford this blatant erosion to its democracy.
Twitter users noticed Harris’s inability to answer Guthrie’s questions and condemned Harris for yet another poor appearance in the press.
So that’s a yes. White House doubling down on its dangerous lie that 2022 midterms are ALREADY illegitimate https://t.co/3WhFo5AKp2

Harris’s answers here are deflective and defensive. The press conference was profoundly bad, the fallout is worse (Russia greenlight on Ukraine, evidence-free GOP changing vote total claim as starters)… https://t.co/6rrSKw6uxi
