AOC Accuses Sen. Cruz Of Trying To Murder Her

In an attempt to reach across the political aisle, Sen. Ted Cruz recently retweeted one of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s posts, writing, “Fully agree.” But his peacemaking efforts were met with a cold shoulder from the New York Democrat who claimed that he tried to ‘murder’ her and shares responsibility for inciting the riots on Jan. 6 at the U.S Capitol.

The bipartisan agreement was about investigating Robinhood, the online trading platform, after it restricted users from trading GameStop shares when it saw an unprecedented uptick in its stock this week. The app had also blocked retail investors from purchasing certain stock, including AMC, Blackberry, Nokia, Bed Bath & Beyond, Express Inc., KOSS Corp, and Naked Brand.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez had insisted on knowing Robinhood’s decision to block retail investors from purchasing stock while hedge funds were freely able to trade the stock as they see fit. She insisted on a meeting as a member of the Financial Services Cmte to examine any retail services freezing stock purchases, especially those allowing sales, but freezing purchases.

“I am happy to work with Republicans on this issue where there’s common ground, but you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out. Happy to work w/ almost any other GOP that aren’t trying to get me killed. In the meantime, if you want to help, you can resign,” AOC tweeted in response.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez continued attacking Sen. Cruz in a series of tweets, talking about how he hasn’t apologized for the “serious physical and mental harm” he contributed to the Capitol Police and custodial workers, as well as to the members of Congress. She told him to stop ‘clout-chasing’ and that she would happily work with other GOP members on this. Social media users lashed out at AOC’s hypocrisy for accusing a Senator of murder while condemning the “violent” words of a former President who had only told his supporters to protest “peacefully and patriotically.”

Sen. Cruz argues that he was doing the exact opposite of inciting violence. He was debating principle and law and the Constitution on the floor of the United States Senate to resolve issues in the country without resorting to violence. Questioning the integrity of the election is not a political move if there’s nothing to hide.

Sen. Cruz also fired back against AOC when talking to reporters about the latest Twitter feud. “You know, there’s a lot of partisan anger and rage on the Democratic side. It’s not healthy for our country, it’s certainly not conducive to healing or unity, but everyone has to decide how they want to interact with others,” he said.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has repeatedly called for Cruz’s resignation from office after holding him and other GOP lawmakers responsible for voter fraud allegations and the breach at the U.S Capitol. She must’ve forgotten her BLM-supported tweets last year that said protests are “supposed” to make people feel uncomfortable. All that changes for a Democrat when the protesters show up where you work.
