Kamala Harris Is Making Things Even Worse For Herself

The Democratic Party has been showing their hatred and disdain for Americans working in the coal industry for quite some time now, but Vice President Kamala Harris just gave it the final push.

President Biden used his first few days in office to revoke the Keystone XL permit, which caused thousands of energy workers to lose their high-paying jobs. The Biden Administration sent a tone-deaf message when presidential climate envoy John Kerry told people to “just make solar panels” instead. On average, alternatives in the wind and solar energy industry pay half what jobs in the oil and gas industry do.

Vice President Harris made things even worse for American workers when she gave an exclusive interview about the coal industry to a local television news station in West Virginia. She didn’t discuss the topic with Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin before doing a local interview in his own state and even touted the proposed American Rescue Plan, which Manchin has voiced concerns about.

The issue was discussed during a recent segment of “The View” where both Meghan McCain and Joy Behar agreed that the interview without Manchin was a mess for Kamala. They agreed with just how powerful a moderate Democrat like Manchin is and that there should be bipartisan efforts since Biden has presented himself as an “American unifier.”

“We’re all seeing this through very different lenses … if the Biden administration doesn’t care about a moderate Democrat, they’re sure as hell not going to care about Republicans. So I was surprised, and I think just on top of everything else, as Joy said, it’s stupid politics on behalf of Kamala’s part,” said McCain.

Vice President Harris’s lack of familiarity with the topic confused even more American workers when she started talking about job creation and “what we need to do in terms of dealing with reclaiming abandoned land mines.” Abandoned land mines lying around in West Virginia?

Vice President Harris meant to say “abandoned mine lands,” which would’ve been an easy on-screen fix if someone with mining terminology like West Virginian Manchin had been there. But Vice President Harris was only in West Virginia for the sole purpose of talking about her $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief plan, regardless of the state they left oil and gas workers in.

After the interview, Sen. Manchin told the local news station that the White House never notified him about Harris’s publicity campaign “I saw [the interview]. I couldn’t believe it. We’re going to try to find a bipartisan pathway forward, but we need to work together. That’s not a way of working together,” he said.

Harris’s publicity blitz did exactly what it was designed to do – generate conformity for the multi-trillion-dollar stimulus bill and pressure members of her own party to fall in line or else.
