This Democrat Thinks His Election Was Stolen

Republican Claudia Tenney was just declared victor following a three-month recount against Democrat Anthony Brindisi for New York’s 22nd congressional district. The reported ‘irregularities’ in the 2020 congressional race forced New York to oversee the handling of their elections and ensure that every single valid vote that was cast in New York had been accounted for, and counted.

“I’m honored to have won this race. It was a hard-fought campaign and I thank Anthony Brindisi for his service. Now that every legal vote has been counted, it’s time for the results to be certified. The voters need a voice in Congress, and I look forward to getting to work on behalf of New York’s 22nd Congressional District,” said Tenney in a statement following her win.

Rep. Tenney told Fox News it had been a long ninety-four days since Election Day. Tenney had defeated Brindisi this year by just 109 votes, 156,098 to 155,989. She previously represented the district from 2017-2019 until Brindisi defeated her in the 2018 mid-term congressional elections.

Brindisi attempted to delay the 2020 election certification and appeal his case through the court system that voter fraud tampered with the outcome of the contested race. The Judge followed all legal proceedings to investigate the case and found no fraud, no dead people voting, and no discrepancies in voting machines.

“I will quote the judge: Every single valid vote that was cast in the 22nd Congressional District has been accounted for and counted. The judge even went on to say, in terms of the voting machines, that [they] explored that avenue, there were no discrepancies. They were tested. And the manual audit was also looked at by the judge and the board of elections,” Rep Tenney said.

Brindisi called the ruling “shocking” and demanded a hand recount to claim the true winner of the race. He said he would not only appeal his case through the court system but through the House of Representatives as well. Democrats seem to only find elections “fraudulent” when they lose, but refuse to investigate claims when Republicans lose. A New York Judge can properly investigate the integrity of the election, find no evidence, and the radical left will still call it “stolen.” I thought Democrats were telling the American people to “trust” the results of elections. Now things have changed?

“I am shocked and surprised by this decision because of the countless errors and discrepancies that have occurred throughout this initial count. I believe a full audit and hand recount is the only way to resolve this race. With the margin so thin, the ever-changing tally, and the countless errors that have occurred arriving at today’s final number we can’t afford to wonder here. We have to get it right,” said Brindisi.

It’s time for Brindisi to concede after a long and frustrating process of ensuring every legal vote was counted. The courts have spoken and the radical left cannot try to delay or deny the will of the voters any further.
