The Biden Administration Is Still Blaming Their ‘Border Crisis’ On Trump

Politicians are well known for their double standards and blaming everything on former President Trump, even when he’s left office. Democrats have been using excuse after excuse for the crisis surrounding the surge of children crossing the southern border. And now, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has tied the “impact of climate change” to the massive surge of people at the borders. She called it a “humanitarian challenge” and went on to blame the “broken system” Biden inherited from former President Trump.

On ABC News’ “This Week,” Pelosi shared her most recent trip to the northern triangle, which would be Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador. She said the Biden Administration has “certain responsibilities” for people seeking asylum and that the impact of climate change is evident for why so many people are arriving in the U.S.

“The facts are these: there are more children. About 600, 700 more children, unaccompanied children, coming over the border. This is a humanitarian challenge to all of us. What the administration has inherited is a broken system at the border, and they are working to correct that in the children’s interest,” Pelosi said.

The House Speaker went on to say how pleased she was that the President provided a “temporary measure” and sent the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to the border to help facilitate the children being transferred into homes. She talked about the challenges of people leaving the drought and being unable to farm, calling the United States refugee resettlement program a ‘crowned jewel of American humanitarianism.’ “We have to have a system that accommodates that, and that is what the Biden administration is in the process of doing,” she adds.

But Pelosi’s ‘temporary solution’ is much worse than “children in cages.” The migrant facilities, which are operating at 729% capacity, released reports that some children haven’t seen sunlight in days, have had only one shower in a week, and have to take turns sleeping on the floor because of overcrowding. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has also rescinded several COVID-19 protocols in order to accommodate the number of migrants at “full capacity,” adding that it would move children quickly out of migrant facilities.

A senior director and lawyer at the National Center for Youth law spoke with over a dozen children at the Donna facility and reported a ‘humanitarian crisis’ happening before our eyes. She described children as visibly emotional, denied shower access, being denied phone calls to communicate with family members, and were hysterically crying wanting to talk to their family. Last month alone, 6,000 migrants were caught crossing the border, and federal officials have noted that they expect this pace to continue and eventually increase.

The migrant facilities, which are holding record numbers of unaccompanied migrant teens and children, have also detained children for longer than legally allowed in order to find more space for them in shelters. Department of Homeland Security is now recruiting volunteers to assist in the border crisis, despite President Biden publicly denying any border crisis.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Majorkas has rejected any crisis and has referred it to “a challenge at the border” that they are managing, as well as White House press secretary Jen Psaki noting that they have the ‘situation under control,’ but continues to blame the Trump administration for inheriting such a problem. “We recognize this is a big problem. The last administration left us a dismantled and unworkable system and, like any other problem, we are going to do all we can to solve it,” Psaki said.

The Biden Administration spent several months of their campaign claiming to replace the “cruelty” of the prior administration, just to replace it with something even more mockable and inhumane. No wonder Biden has taken on the label of the “Migrant President.” Democrats will still be blaming Trump in four years.
