A massive crowd waited hours in line this weekend for former president Donald Trump’s Alabama Rally, with as many as 50k or more to be expected there. It is considered one of Trump’s largest rallies of 2021 and with more to come. Trump posted in an earlier statement that he was looking forward to seeing everyone in Alabama. He said he is ready for a huge crowd with tremendous enthusiasm, and that there is much to discuss in bringing our country back. He announced that they will be broadcasting live on OAN, Newsmax, Right Side Broadcasting, and Real America’s Voice, among many others.
Trump spent time during the rally talking about President Biden’s handling of the U.S withdrawal from Afghanistan. He said it would go down as one of the “greatest military defeats of all time” and that it didn’t have to happen that way. He defended his original negotiations with the Taliban, adding that the enemies are clearly not afraid of President Biden. He said this never would’ve happened if he was president.
“The issue here is not whether to leave Afghanistan, the issue is Joe Biden’s staggering incompetence and gross negligence … creating the greatest strategic humiliation that we’ve ever seen as a country. With me in office the Taliban would not have ever dreamt of capturing our airfield or parading around with our American weapons,” Trump said.
Trump made a peace deal with the Taliban in 2020 to reduce the number of Afghan troops as long as they did not provide support to terrorists. When criticized for meeting with the Taliban, Trump asked, “Who the hell else am I supposed to be negotiating with.” He’d warned the Taliban that if anything happens, they will reign terror upon you” and that they dare not touch the American citizens.
The former president said he was tough on negotiations with the Taliban and that they agreed to a full military withdrawal by May 1, which was botched by the Biden Administration. They’d originally extended the deadline to September 11, which was controversial for most, and then later pledged to have all US troops out by August 31.
Trump went on to talk about how there would’ve been no emergency embassy evacuation or taking down of the flag because they established clear lines that the Taliban didn’t dare to cross. Trump called Biden’s withdrawal a “total surrender” and accused him of giving our military to the enemy. Taliban fighters can be seen bearing a combination of U.S military hardware.
Trump also dropped the biggest presidential hint for 2024 yet. He told the rally in Alabama that “It’s time for real leadership in the White House.” While there have not been any final decisions, this is one of the clearest indicators that he’s planning to run again.
Trump rallies have always been a key part of his campaign and he has continued to campaign, even out of office. The Alabama Rally is Trump’s fourth campaign-style rally since leaving the White House. He has hinted several times at running but said he would make no further announcements until after the midterms. Despite getting banned by Big Tech, Trump has continued to run his commentary through emailed statements and television interviews.
On the night before his rally, Trump told Hannity that Joe Biden must apologize for allowing $85 billion worth of sophisticated military equipment is handed to the Taliban. He went on to say that it’s not about the concept of U.S troops leaving, but about how they withdrew.
It’s clear that people miss Trump’s America First messaging more than ever. Even Rumble reported 34,000 live viewers on the Rumble live streaming app, and with more to come. The people need President Trump back in the office and the rallies only validate that.
