Federal Court Of Appeals Issues Temporary Halt To Biden Vaccine Mandate

Texas was recently granted a victory by a federal court in its lawsuit against President Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The federal court issued a stay on the controversial federal government regulations in Texas.

Texas Republican attorney general Ken Paxton writes that they have sued the Biden Administration over the vaccine requirements, citing constitutional issues. The administration’s unconstitutional overreach is not over, but Paxton adds that he will continue to fight the battle.

Paxton sued the Biden administration earlier in the week over the mandate and has argued that forcing workers with more than 100 employees to get vaccinated is unconstitutional.

Paxton tweeted that the mandate for private businesses is an astonishing abuse of power and that OSHA should only have limited power. The latest move is far beyond those limits, adding that it is completely unconstitutional. He asked the Court for it to be struck down.

President Biden spoke on the approval of the COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 5-11 at the White House. OSHA has given employers with over 100 employees a January 4 deadline to comply with. Despite opposition from many GOP-led states, the White House has continued to support the mandate and claimed that it is a standard for workplaces rather than a mandate.

White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre responded to a press briefing about whether she was confident that the mandate would stand up to legal challenges. She stated that they are very confident that the legal aspect of the matter is not being misrepresented or disinformed. She said it is a requirement for safe workplaces to have weekly testing or be vaccinated.

Paxton has shared that he is really happy with the court’s decision as it gives people hope that their jobs won’t be lost and the president won’t be able to ruin people’s careers and make their lives more difficult.

Paxton states that he believes President Biden would appeal the decision. While the Federal Court of Appeals just issued a temporary halt to Biden’s vaccination mandate, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted that the emergency hearings are scheduled soon. He said they will be present in court to challenge President Biden’s constitutional abuse of authority.
