Americans Explain Why They’re Flocking To Florida

Florida’s new residents share their reasons for moving to Florida and praise Gov. Ron DeSantis (R). According to reports, the majority of the city council in Dem-run cities, such as Chicago, voted last year to eliminate funding for police. The council had also voted in February 2021 to make reparations to Black residents, making it the first U.S. municipality to do so.

Lauren Callahan is an ex-Chicago resident and was robbed two years ago. She stated that she planned to flee the city and flee to Florida due to Chicago’s coronavirus restrictions. “Our plan was to reassess our destination in 2022. However, with COVID and city life… we decided to come to Florida in November.” She explained that violence was “creeping up towards the North Side,” which is where she lived.

Although it is a large city, there are always problems. However, it is usually one of the safest areas. Because of the carjackings, she said she was afraid to be alone outside in the dark because of the robberies and carjackings. This is not a healthy way of living.

Warren Cohn, an ex-resident of New Jersey, near Manhattan, described moving from New Jersey to Florida as a chance to “live outside” while still receiving some tax benefits.
