Wu was not prepared for the outcome. Wu was criticized by angry Bostonians for his COVID mandates. “Why do children hate you?” Teachers? Cops? Firemen?” One commenter said that Wu was “ruining Boston”, while another claimed Wu was.

Wu looked stunned at the flood of messages and her smile fell as she listened to the comments. Wu was quickly made viral by thousands of people praising Wu for the video. Wu’s criticism is coming as COVID-19 restrictions in America are being lifted, particularly in blue states.
