Trump, the former President, reacted to claims that Hillary Clinton operatives had paid a contractor for him to spy on him with cell phone data during his 2016 campaign. He called it a scandal worse then Watergate.
In connection with the federal prosecution of Michael Sussmann, a former Clinton campaign lawyer, Durham filed a motion at Washington, DC’s federal court. He is being charged with lying about his involvement in the fabrication of the Russia “collusion hoax.”
Trump responded by saying that Clinton operatives had committed acts of treason.
Robert Durham’s latest pleading provides clear evidence that my presidency and campaign were spied upon by Hillary Clinton Campaign operatives in an attempt to establish a totally fabricated connection with Russia. This scandal is far more serious than Watergate. Those who knew or were part of this spying operation and had knowledge should face criminal charges. This crime could have been punished with death if it had occurred over a longer period of time. This crime should also be punished with death.
Watergate was the scandal in which Richard Nixon’s associates broke into the offices the Democratic National Committee during 1972’s presidential campaign. The alleged spying went on beyond the election and into Trump’s presidency.
Trump’s claim that his wires were “tapped” at Trump Tower in 2017 was ridiculed by the media.
