Flood of Families Cancel Disney Memberships Over Woke Company’s Leftist Agenda

Many families have cancelled their Disney memberships, from Disney+ streaming to amusement parks, over the leftist agenda of Disney+. One parent noted that Walt would be in his grave if he saw how Disney has evolved.

Loyal Disney customers claim that the company has become out of control with its wakefulness in recent years. They now believe that there is a left-wing political agenda within virtually every aspect of the company, from its movies and streaming services shows to its theme parks and other offerings of its entertainment and media conglomerate.

Disney removed gender from park greetings last year. It replaced “Good evening ladies and gentlemen,” “Good afternoon, girls and boys, dreamers, all ages” with “Good night, dreamers, all ages”.

The company is also working overtime on LGBTQIA2S+ content for children’s television screens. One Disney executive lamented that not enough Disney characters are “LGBTQIA” and another admitted that Disney encouraged her to pursue a “not-at all-secret gay agenda” when becoming an employee.

As if all that weren’t enough, Disney CEO Bob Chapek sided with leftists and spoke out against Florida legislation prohibiting the grooming or sexualizing children in schools.

Parents, grandparents, and others are now dismaying, with Fox News reporting that Walt Disney would “turn over in his grave” if they saw the actions of his company.

Patti Garibay, a grandparent and parent from Ohio, stated, “It’s time to rid your household of all things Disney.”

Walt Disney often spoke of his most important lesson, which was that “goodwill always wins over evil .,'” Garibay said. “Today, Disney promotes a wide range of lifestyles that are not in line with biblical values of good or evil. God calls us to do so.

She added, “It’s been said before and it bears repeating again: ‘Walt would roll over in his grave’ to view what his beloved company had become.”

A Tennessee father with a 10-month old daughter told her Tennessee newspaper that he had decided to stop his baby from being exposed to Disney’s products. There are many healthy options available for her.”

He said that his father would allow his daughter to watch the old Disney films on DVD. These movies taught kids values like loyalty, friendship and working through difficulties.

He noted that Disney doesn’t seem understand that parents have so much choice now. “Ultimately, I believe they’re going down on this wokeness gamble.”

Fox News interviewed a grandmother and mother who said that they gave up on Disney many years ago after they opened the parks for gay pride activities during family visits.

She added that “a children’s park is not the right place for this.” You can’t promote both innocence as well as sex simultaneously. This was a clear message to families about the direction they were heading as a company.

Another parent shared with the outlet that parents are “deeply frustrated” because they have to work so hard to instill important values such as honesty, integrity, and the Golden Rule to their children.

She said, “When I read about woke Disney, my friends and I all felt exactly the same — clearly Disney executives live in a bubble and don’t know everyday moms or dads like us.”

Not only are parents critical of Disney’s behavior, but so are other parents.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis also spoke out, criticizing the company for its threats to sue the state’s new parental right law. He said, “If we would’ve introduced the bill that you weren’t allowed to have curriculum which discussed the oppression by the Uyghurs of China, Disney would have approved that in a second — that’s the hypocrisy.

DeSantis, the Florida bill HB1557 (the Parental Rights in Education bill) was signed into law last month. It prohibits children from being taught sexuality or transgender ideologies in kindergarten through third grades.
