Two things inevitably follow a mass shooting. For one, the shooter becomes a celebrity. I don’t like it any more than you do but there’s something about evil that great that draws people into wanting to know more. Why did they do it? What drove them there? What kind of lends did they see the world through? All of these questions course through the minds of anyone who hears about killers.
Another inevitability of the crisis is that politicians, media, and activists will use it as a tool. A crisis should not be wasted. As such, gun control advocates and race-baiters will all show up, ready to take the lives of innocent people.
As I write this, you can see that the Buffalo shooter is a hot topic on Twitter. Many people are accusing their political opponents of being to blame. This is happening despite the fact the shooter made online information about his beliefs and intentions.
Tom Elliott, the founder of Grabien, decided to take a minute and create a thread that shows how the Buffalo killer thought about everything. It includes his thoughts on everything.
It all starts with the reason he chose that location. New York is strict about gun control, and the shooter knew that he would be in a position of advantage because everyone else around him would have very limited ammo.
We also learn more about his love for fascism and white supremacy as well as anti-semitism.

We can see that the shooter was more of a socialist than he is a conservative extremist, and he “wants nothing to do with conservatism” before we conclude that the kid was an extremist conservative as the media would have us believe. His views actually evolved from communism, and he stated that he would define himself as a leftist populist.

Although I won’t be posting the entire thread, Elliot has posted more and continues to give us a lot of information. The shooter claims to be an eco-fascist who is concerned about the erasure and loss of the culture and heritage of whites through immigration. He seems to have been a frequent user of 4Chan where he refined his beliefs.
He stated that he was very anti-libertarian and believes it to be a Jewish idea. He thanked God for conservatism’s demise and wished for the end of “anti-white capitalists.”
It is clear that the shooter was drawn towards Nazism and believed that a more “Hitleresque nation” was the best option. It is not something that the left or right embrace. While it is fascinating to see all this and to know his source of inspiration, it is also helpful to remember that it’s sometimes those around you that can help us get a better picture.
Joe Cunningham said that people who knew the shooter thought he was very strange and bizarre. His behavior was bizarre and he seemed fascinated by extremist ideologies. His friends and family can testify to his belief system, but you should pay more attention to his mental illness.
This is not to suggest that his rantings weren’t a valuable glimpse into his mental state. But all of this paints a picture of an angry young man who didn’t get the help that he needed. And just as we see at the conclusion of mass shootings, there’s more acceptance of superficial ideologies than actual mental health.
