Do you know if there is a corner in the government bureaucracy where there aren’t partisan agents who want to push their political agendas in Washington? A recent example: The FTC has decided to “investigate Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter for…antitrust reasons.”
This comes after Democrats and their media allies lost their minds over conservatives having a single platform to support their policies.
Fox Business provides some details:
According to a Thursday report by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), they are currently reviewing Elon Musk’s $44 Billion deal with Tesla’s CEO. It has given a deadline for an Antitrust Review.
Bloomberg was informed by a source familiar with the matter, that the agency would decide next year whether to conduct an antitrust investigation into Twitter’s deal. This could delay the closing of this case for several months.
Let’s help the FTC. Musk has not purchased Twitter. The government saved a lot of time and money.
Notice the timeline. If the FTC conducts an extensive review, the purchase could be delayed for several more months. Also, Lina Khan (Chairwoman of FTC) is associated with a left-wing group that actively lobbies to stop the sale.
It’s hard to believe Khan, who calls it “rein tech,” would not use the power she holds to stop Musk’s acquisition in order for conservatives to remain censored going into the election.
Fox Business points out that the whole thing is theatre. Fox Business points out that this whole thing is theatre.
These games won’t stop Musk from closing his deal. I’m not sure they will.
