China Accuses White House Of Lying About Biden Bringing Up Genocide, Forced Labor With Xi

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied President Biden discussed “genocide” and “forced labor” during a phone call with President Xi Jinping. Karine Pierre, White House Press Secretary, stated Thursday to the media that President Obama raised ethical concerns about forced labor.

The Chinese MFA refuted the allegation and stated that “according to White House Press Secretary”, “genocide and “forced labor” were mentioned during last night’s telephone conversation between US Presidents and Chinese.
The MFA also sent a similar message, calling the conversation either “pure lies”, (false information), or “false”.

China has been accused of illegally imprisoning 3,000,000 Uyghurs from the Xinjiang area and performing forced sterilizations. Chinese authorities claim that the camps are “reeducation” facilities to fight Islamic extremism.

In December, Biden signed the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act. This bipartisan bill prohibits the importation of goods made with forced labor from Xinjiang.

Despite tensions between the world powers, Biden made his longest telephone call to Xi on Thursday morning.

Chinese readings show that Xi warned Biden not to defy Beijing’s will in regard to Taiwan.

This call was the fifth between Biden & Xi over the five years since Biden took office. According the White House, ET lasted for two hours and seventeen minutes.

Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), has recently demanded that Nancy Pelosi cancel her trip to Taiwan.

According to the White House the call was part of efforts by the Biden Administration to maintain and improve communication between the United States of China and the PRC. It was also about responsible managing our differences, and working together when there are mutual interest.

Taiwan is also known as the Republic of China. It’s an island nation off the coast of Asia. Taiwan was declared independent by the People’s Republic of China. It will be governed under prerevolutionary China.

Taiwan Strait is claimed by the People’s Republic of China. The area used by the Chinese military in the past to test Taiwan’s air defense system.
