FBI and White House Slapped Down By Judge in Major Censorship Case

Published on

Is the White House finally letting go of its censorship train? Although it’s too early to know for certain, the FBI and the Biden administration were reprimanded Wednesday by a federal judge in a case that was pivotal in the matter.

A judge ruled that Elvis Chan, a special agent in the FBI, cannot be protected from being deposed by Eric Schmitt (the Missouri AG) and Jeff Landry (the Louisiana AG).

Recently, officials in Louisiana and Missouri filed a lawsuit against Biden to obtain information about the alleged collusion between the FBI, DoJ, and other agencies using social media companies to censor any information that was not favorable to the White House. The White House tried to stop some depositions, including one of FBI special agent Elvis Chan. Agent Chan was identified as having worked with Meta to remove certain news articles on Facebook. U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana denied the request and allowed the depositions. Needless to mention, there are likely to be some very nervous people at the White House biting their nails this week.

We previously reported that Meta (Facebook), was responsible for censoring Hunter Biden’s story before the 2020 election. This could have influenced the outcome. Mark Zuckerberg, its founder, accidentally admitted to Joe Rogan’s podcast, that the FBI had approached them with more than a wink, and nudge and that the story was Russian disinformation. The FBI knew that the laptop story was true because they had the hard drive for over a year.

Why did the FBI go to Facebook and presumably other social media sites to discredit a negative story that Joe Biden had written about his son? Given what we know, the only plausible answer is that they wanted to influence the election. Mission accomplished, I suppose.

Chan is not the only target of the lawsuit. Other government agencies, such as the NIH and CDC, are also being targeted. They have been working with social media companies for years to promote the administration’s preferred narratives. Although the COVID-19 laboratory leak theory was a prominent example, it is not the only one.

All the talk about threats to democracy, I think it is a very serious threat to our electoral system that the federal government violates rights by proxy to benefit partisan ends. This is also likely to be illegal. The Biden administration was and is likely to continue to be anti-American, trying to get their hands on the scale despite the truth.

Let’s not forget about the abuse of trying to protect Chan from being removed under the pretext of national security. It’s not a matter of national security for the FBI to lie to its political enemies (which conservatives are clearly) but I am pretty certain. It’s a matter of corruption. The fact that the Biden Administration might end up with eggs on their faces (and possible legal sanctions) doesn’t make it any excuse to conceal the truth from the public.
