Joe Biden Makes a Telling Admission About Georgia Senate Race During Warnock Fundraising Event

Published on

We reported that President Joe Biden looked confused and out of control Friday in a public appearance. He was asked why he didn’t travel down to Georgia to campaign with Sen. Raphael Warnock for the Senate race remaining to decide.

“I’m going today to Georgia to help Sen. Warren. Biden replied, “Not to Georgia, I’m going to help Sen. Warren [by] performing a major fundraiser in Boston,” apparently mixing Warnock with Senator Elizabeth Warren (D–Mass.). ), who is able to open her mouth and insert her foot without any assistance from Biden.

Biden actually visited Boston later that day. He met with William, Prince of Wales, and then stopped at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (Dorchester), where he did some telephone bank work to raise funds for Warnock’s campaign in the closing days.

CBS News reports that Biden, following his visit to IBEW, was scheduled to attend a Boston fundraiser for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (which has spent millions to support Warnock’s campaign to defeat Republican challenger Herschel Walk).

Biden said that Walker “did not deserve” to be in Senate. Warren was also present at the IBEW event. Warnock, however, was a “truly decent and honorable man”.

Biden spoke at another time in his speech and kinda kinda said the quiet part about how it’s probably better that Georgia voters don’t know that Warnock votes for him the vast majority.

Biden said that Walker’s campaign was being run against Warnock, claiming that he votes 98% with Joe Biden. “I wouldn’t tell Georgia voters that over the phone.”

It’s good that Joe Biden seems to be aware that he isn’t getting enough approval from Georgia voters. He’s openly admitting to the fact that it’s better to keep the state’s voters in the dark about Warnock’s voting record. He’s not suggesting that Warnock’s surrogates lie to him, but he is suggesting that they conceal the truth.

Biden’s comments could be explained by Walker thinking it is not a good idea to tell voters about Warnock’s voting history because he thinks it would be a plus that Warnock knows that. Although Warnock and Biden kept their distance since before Election Day it seems safe to assume that Warnock decided it was best not to be too close to Biden, despite the fact they are very close.

This race is going down to the wire. Both sides are pulling out all the stops down the homestretch.

Although Democrats maintained control of the Senate, with the current number at 50 seats with VP Kamala Harir being a tiebreaker, that doesn’t mean Republicans shouldn’t fight for 50-50. Bonchie, my RS colleague, pointed out earlier that the difference between a US Senate with 50/50 and a 51/49 is the difference between Democrats controlling the Committees and them being equally split. Republicans have some control over matters such as judicial nominations in an evenly divided environment.

Do your thing, Herschelwalker supporters in Georgia: Get. and. vote.
