Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, took to Twitter to solicit questions from his followers. He had conducted many interviews with media outlets prior to 2022.
The prime minister responded, “Hey everyone!” He said that he had been conducting a lot more interviews with TV stations and newspapers as we near the end of the year.
“They have had many great questions. But I also know that you have many great questions. Let’s listen,” he said.

According to the National Post, the message received approximately 6,000 responses within the first hour. It was not a policy-related question and got some praise from state media. However, it mostly was a stream of contentious replies.
An ex-meteorologist at CBC asked: “What’s your morning routine?” Is it possible to share the morning newspapers with your spouse? Talk to your family before you start the day. Do you just want to hit the road?
Many are puzzled as to why Trudeau suddenly wants to answer questions, or respond with blackface images, but it is hard to understand why Trudeau’s team believed it was a good idea for him to be open to criticism from journalists and commentators from all political stripes.
The PM was not satisfied with the results.
Popular French-Canadian Youtuber and candidate for the People’s Party of Canada Viva Fried asked the Liberal if it was just another provocation or antagonism.
“Is this AMA – like your invocations of Emergencies Act – merely an act to further antagonism/provocation of a population you have been systematically abusing over the past few years, in order to get people mad and lash out against your regime?”
Luke Rudkowski, an anarchist commentator, criticized Trudeau’s decision to freeze the bank accounts of donors to the massive freedom protests of winter 2022.
“What gives you the moral authority to take people’s bank accounts in order to criticize you?” Rudkowski was curious.
Reporter Savanah Hernandez asked simply, “Why are you such a dictator?”
Keean Bexte is a journalist who has been in frequent contact with the prime minister. He asked, “What caused your net worth explosion over the course of this pandemic?”
Justin Trudeau encouraged his audience to “stay glued” and indicated that he would be answering some of his most favorable questions.
