Border Czar Fails to Address Border Issues on Arizona Trip

Kamala Harris was on Thursday, the Vice-President of America, a geography expert, and a border czar. Despite the fact the state is facing an influx of illegal immigrants in its wake, Harris will continue to hold the tried-and-true Democrat position of ignoring it as well as the Executive Branch tradition of avoiding an actual frontier. Ah, traditions! They are part and parcel of America’s greatness.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, this will be Harris’ first trip to Arizona. Let’s read that again. This is the first time that the border czar has visited Arizona. Keep in mind that Biden’s team was inaugurated in January 2021. It is January 2023. Harris is visiting the state for the first time in two years. Harris was due to visit Tonopah. Tonopah is located about 100 miles north of Yuma at the border. It was when the government declared an immediate emergency in December 2021 because of the unprecedented number of illegal immigrants.

Harris was not only not going to the border to see it, but she wasn’t there to even talk about it. The vice president’s visit was not to see the border, but rather to spread joy, cheer, and goodwill and take a tour of a solar and wind project. A section of the power line will be used to transport electricity from renewable sources. That’s right, the old Democrat staple: green energy. Because green energy can solve all the world’s problems. There are no stove fumes, racism, hunger, or climate change. These union jobs are well-paid. It is now standard practice for the administration to use “union” when you say “jobs”. They will get a few hundred thousand from lobbyists each time Biden uses that phrase. This could be a White House cheer: “We say Union, you say Jobs!”

Nainoa Johsens, a spokesperson for the Republican National Committee, told the Free Beacon that Kamala Harris, the failed border czar, is looking at solar panels and power lines while the southern border remains open and drug and violent crime continue to pour into Arizona. “The Biden administration has abandoned all our border communities.”

Johsens wasn’t the only one to take notice of the Veeps’ purpose and itinerary. Many officials in Arizona were indignant and underwhelmed. Fox reported that the Pinal County sheriff claimed the Biden administration tried to conceal the truth about the border and refused to address the problem. John Giles, Mesa’s Mayor, said that Harris’ visit was a wasted opportunity to draw attention to illegal immigration.

We’ve recovered more than 800,000 fentanyl pills in Mesa and over 200 pounds of methamphetamine over the past two months. We would like the vice president to pay more attention to security concerns at the border and provide more resources.

I would ask how the administration could be this tone-deaf, but tone-deafness is practically national policy these days. Of course, the truth is that Harris knows about the border crisis, and Biden knows about it. Everyone knows about it. It could be that Harris uses that now the well-known tone of voice and elementary school speaking style, not because she isn’t very bright but because she thinks we aren’t that bright. Fentanyl, human trafficking, overloaded social services, and an uptick in crime can all be fixed with wind and solar. Just ask Vice President Harris.
