DeSantis Calls Florida Land Of Sanity, Slams Biden Policies In His Inaugural Address

Florida Gov. On Tuesday, Ron DeSantis praised Florida as the “landof liberty and the landof sanity” while criticizing the “floundering federal setup” in Washington D.C. The Biden administration was also criticized. He laid out his plans for the “months, years ahead” when he was sworn into office for a second term.
After a 19-point win, DeSantis was elected to the Tallahassee State Capitol.

DeSantis stated Tuesday that freedom is alive in Florida’s great Sunshine State. He praised the state’s leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and other social issues.

DeSantis stated that Florida was the refuge of sanity and a citadel for freedom for Americans and people all over the globe when the world lost its mind. “Captaining the ship of the state, we chose to navigate the turbulent sea of liberty instead of settling in the tranquil docks of despotism.”

DeSantis said, “We face attacks. We take hits. But we weather the storms.” “We stand firm and do what is right.”

DeSantis acknowledged the “tens-of thousands” who “assail him on every side,” but said that he had “refused polls and to put his finger in the wind.”

DeSantis stated, “Leaders don’t follow, they lead.” We have a vision for a prosperous and free state. This vision has been realized through perseverance and hard work. We have achieved positive results. We are now here because the people in Florida have confirmed our efforts in record time.”

DeSantis has been subject to attacks by Democrats as well as former President Trump. Trump created a new nickname for DeSantis just before the midterms, “Ron DeSanctimonius.” DeSantis refused to respond to Trump’s taunts.

DeSantis reflected on his first term and praised his “bold agenda” which included lowering Floridian taxes, reforming education, supporting law enforcement, and more.

DeSantis promised more education reforms during his second term. He stated that Florida “must always remain a great place for raising a family.”

DeSantis stated, “We will defend and defend our children against all who seek to rob their innocence,”

DeSantis stated that Florida will continue to support law enforcement and reject soft-on crime policies that place our communities in danger.

His popularity has risen among Republicans across the country, not just in Florida. His popularity in the early 2024 GOP presidential polls is comparable to that of Donald Trump. Republicans praise him for his strong pushback against the coronavirus restrictions and his aggressive actions being a conservative culture fighter – going after media companies and corporations.

DeSantis referred to Florida on Tuesday as the “land of sanity,” referring to states that have adopted policies across the country that, he stated, “coddle criminals and attack law enforcement.”

“They have placed unreasonable burdens upon taxpayers in order to finance unfathomable amounts of public spending. DeSantis stated that they have damaged education by subordinating parents’ and students’ interests to partisan interest group.” “They have enforced medical authoritarianism under the pretense of pandemic mandates, and restraints that lack a scientific foundation.”

He said, “This bizarre, but pervasive ideology that permeates policy measures purports act in the name justice for the marginalized.” It is not happy with American detentions. It opposes merit and achievement, and it supports identity essentialism.”

DeSantis stated that he and Floridians reject this “woke ideology.”

DeSantis stated, “We seek normalcy and not philosophical lunacy.”

He said, “Florida’s where woke people go to die.”

DeSantis’ address was mainly focused on Florida. However, he made a sharp contrast between his policies with those of President Biden.

DeSantis, without naming Biden, criticized the federal government and Biden for their “inflationary spending spree that has left our nation weaker than it should have and our citizens less fortunate.”

DeSantis also criticized Biden’s administration policies that “recklessly permitted open borders, making mockery of the law, allowing massive quantities of narcotics infect our states and importing criminal aliens. And greenlighting millions of illegal aliens to enter our country, burdening taxpayers across the land.”

The governor also criticized the Biden administration’s energy policies, saying that they had “crippled our country’s domestic production, causing energy to be more expensive for our citizens, and eroding the nation’s security and energy security, and in so doing, our national security.”

DeSantis stated that the Biden administration wields its power through a sprawling, inexact, and out-of-touch bureaucracy, which does not act for us but instead looms above us and imposes its will on us.”

He said, “The results have been predictably depressing.” “This has led to many being pessimistic about this country’s future. Some say failure is inevitable.

DeSantis stated that Florida was “proof positive” that the people aren’t destined for failure.

At 44 years old, DeSantis is the nation’s youngest governor. When Sarah Huckabee Sanders is sworn into office, she will be the Arkansas Governor-elect.

DeSantis starts his second term in Florida with a Republican supermajority.

DeSantis was not a fan of the idea of running for the White House in 2024, but he focused his attention on his gubernatorial election win. However, DeSantis seemed to hint that he might bring Florida’s success with conservatism nationwide in his November election night victory speech.
