I’m All-In if Trump Promises a Scorched-Earth Second Term

The 2024 presidential race, whether you like it or not is just around the corner. If I ever ran, it would only be on a platform that promises a shorter length for presidential elections in this country.

Donald Trump is the Republican candidate. There are millions of right-leaning voters who want it to stay that way. Many people are discussing Florida’s Governor. Ron DeSantis is running. Ron DeSantis doesn’t belong to any of these people, so it’s not necessary to speculate about how that might work.

Many of us who voted for Trump in 2020 had hopes and dreams about the future. It was a great presidency in policy and as a judge. It was highly anticipated that there would be more.

I am adamant that Trump will be reelected after the horrible, anomaly-laden election.

Yes, I want to see a return to sound fiscal policy and international policy. But there was something that he missed in his first term. This is what I want him to fix in term 2. His efforts to drain the swamp were not as impressive as he claimed. After firing James Comey, it started well but then it stalled. Many times I have written that I was disappointed that he did not gut the FBI. The FBI is now hyper-focused on making trouble for anyone who supports it.

It was a good time.

Trump’s Beltway backstabbing from both sides of his aisle has been so frustrating that I hope that when he does return, it will be with a singular focus on righting any wrongs real or imagined. A friend of mine told me the other day that I wanted him to wear nothing but a codpiece to his second inauguration and carry a flamethrower. This is just to set the tone.

Trump will have to minimize his unforced mistakes and distractions during his first term, especially when it comes to staffing. Trump will not be able to focus on the more important parts of the Swamp if his own area is constantly draining and demanding his attention. You can find a chief of staff that knows what he/she is doing and then set it all on autopilot, while you go after the rest of the bureaucracy.

Trump will need to reverse the socialist executive actions President LOLEightyonemillion has ensnared us with. But I am sure he won’t waste any time getting there. Trump may skip the inaugural balls to focus on his task.

My scorched-earth political dream is not new. Since childhood, I longed for a president with zero you-know-whats to offer in Washington. When Trump was first elected, the thing I loved most about him was his lack of career politicians with connections that he could use to massage. He didn’t have to wear an ascot or “Harumph” with the Capitol Hill Club’s old-guard GOP members.

The scorched-earth presidential plan is more effective with two terms. Although he could have had a better start in the first term, that’s just water under one Swamp bridge. It’s exciting to think about Orange Man Bad coming back into Washington, and the entire place is covered in flop sweat.

Both parties were vocal about Trump’s imperfections while he was in office. They were always features, not bugs to me. I wish they were even rougher if he goes back to the office in January 2025.

The flamethrower idea is something I love.
