Former Agent Breaks Down In Tears When Detailing Her Time With ‘Politicized’ FBI

Nicole Parker, a former FBI Special Agent, wept during testimony at a congressional hearing on Thursday.

Parker stated that she quit her job as a hedge fund manager after 9/11 in order to serve her country. She worked as an FBI Special Agent between 2011 and 22.

Parker recalled how she joined a Miami field station and said that she considered it a sacred responsibility.

Parker began to fall apart, saying, “Participating the investigations of myriad crime cases, the Majorie stoneman Douglas high school massacre in Parkland. Florida.”

She continued, “The 2017 Fort Lauderdale Airport shooting, the Cesar Sayoc Pipe Bomb Case-” and listed other areas as she wept.

It was difficult emotionally, but I felt I was making a positive difference. Every day, I got up and accepted my role as a Special FBI Agent until things changed. Over the past 12+ years, the FBI has seen its trajectory change. Although the mission of the FBI has not changed, its priorities and governing principles have dramatically changed. The FBI was made politically powerful starting at the top in Washington, and then trickling down to its field offices.”

Parker stated that it appears as though there are two FBI’s. One of them is biased and has damaged the credibility of the agency. Parker stated that the agency has suffered from a “lowering” of eligibility requirements for new recruits.

In January, the Republican-led House approved the creation of a subcommittee that would investigate the “weaponization” of the federal government. Jim Jordan, a Republican from Ohio, stated that the committee was created to protect the First Amendment and investigate why parents were labeled domestic terrorists as well as why federal agencies seem to have become weaponized.
