Maher, Famous Author Spar Over Vaccines, COVID Policies

Bill Maher, comedian and podcast host, sparred with Fran Lebowitz in the upcoming podcast “Club Random” on COVID-19 vaccinations.

Lebowitz claimed that she encountered some ridiculous drinking and smoking rules in a restaurant once. Maher was prompted to compare the situation to those which were in place during the pandemic. He said it made no sense.

“Maybe [your tale] helps people understand why some, who called out much of the nonsense regarding how we handled COVID. We’ve done stupidity in health theater for quite a while, it’sn’t new, and… it was just arrogant to having such a poor record in the past with matters health. Tell me, Just do what they say, when have you ever been wrong?’ then, ‘Oh okay, we are washing the mail. They told us that they were happy to wear any type of mask. ‘”

Lebowitz replied, “I’m not up to which COVID rules are you opposed to,”

Maher stated, “They all turned up to be stupid.” They just did a study. The masks were useless unless they were N95 — or maybe not even them.

Lebowitz stated that he stopped wearing a mask because he didn’t need to. “But the vaccines… good, I’m glad that there were vaccines.”

“Yes, I’m glad that vaccines exist. Maher stated, “You know, it’s your decision. “But please don’t insist that I get the vaccines I want and may need. I have my reasons for wanting them, but I should be free to make my own decisions about my health.”

Lebowitz suggested that nurses be required to receive the vaccine. Maher, however, argued that natural immunity should be recognized in Europe.

In a recent research paper, Dr. Anthony Facui stated that vaccines cannot be expected to stop the pandemic. Fauci repeated the point repeatedly during the pandemic, that vaccination would prevent the spread of the virus and was an important step towards ending it.
