New York City Mayor Eric Adams Takes a Shot at Ron DeSantis, but Hits Himself Instead

What is it that makes Democratic mayors’ heads explode about Ron DeSantis?

DeSantis flew into Chicago Monday and will forever change the face of Chicago’s mayoral race. The Democratic candidates gathered to compare their efforts in the hysterical denigration of the Florida governor.

New York City was DeSantis’ next destination. Eric Adams, New York’s Democratic mayor, “welcomed” DeSantis with a humorous tweet.

While they don’t ban books in Florida, they make it more difficult for children to access age-inappropriate literature. Rest is typical leftist bombast, which DeSantis was able to manage by simply reminding Adams where Americans prefer to live.

DeSantis let it all go.

DeSantis also reminded Adams and others that certain truths can’t be denied in his speech to Elmhurst police officers.

“If the streets are unsafe, you won’t have a strong economy,” DeSantis stated that if people feel unsafe, they won’t be able to get a quality education. Without a solid foundation of safety and security, none of this will work.

DeSantis is currently on a tour of three cities, comparing Florida’s crime rate to that of the Democratic big cities. DeSantis is also conducting a recruitment drive for officers. He pitched Staten Island, police officers.

ABC News:

DeSantis met Monday morning with Staten Island’s local police. Lee Zeldin was also present, a former New York Congressman who lost a heated race for governor to Democrat Kathy Hochul.

“We’re doing this right in Florida. My message is: If you’re disenchanted and don’t believe things will turn around where you are, but not in New York, just know there’s a state doing it right,” DeSantis stated Monday. “There is a state that will appreciate your service, and it’s more important than someone like me going out and doing it.”

DeSantis also took aim at New York’s bail laws, which were amended after several high-profile violent crimes committed by criminals who ordinarily would have been imprisoned.

The 44-year-old said that New York was the only state that does not allow judges to consider when making bail decisions, whether someone is a threat to the community.

“How is that possible?” Does that make your community safer? No. You need to repeal the failed pieces of legislation.

DeSantis will next visit the suburbs of Philadelphia. Here, Democrats are almost certain to take advantage of the chance to demonstrate how passionate and dedicated they are to be hysterical about the visit of one Republican governor.
