Pete Buttigieg Visits East Palestine As His Press Secretary Refuses To Answer Questions On Camera

Nearly three weeks after the train accident and subsequent release of toxic chemicals, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg visited East Palestine in Ohio. His press secretary, however, was unable to answer questions from journalists because of the presence cameras.

“Today, today, I am in East Palestine (Ohio) to visit the site where the Norfolk Southern train derailed, listen to updates by investigators, and meet first responders. Buttigieg posted the following message via social media just days after refusing to disclose to media when he planned to visit the affected areas.

He said, “But, yes. When the opportunity presents itself. I will be visiting East Palestine.” He stated this week that he did not have a set date. After Donald Trump’s visit to the region, the Transportation secretary quickly established a date. He bought McDonald’s for first responders and delivered truckloads worth of water.

“We are like third world nations, and this is it, the collapse. Trump said that the country was in “the midst” of its collapse during Wednesday’s trip to East Palestine. Trump also stated that Buttigieg should have been there “a while ago.”

Trump also criticized Biden’s decision to travel to Ukraine in the week of April 23rd, rather than visiting East Palestine residents.

“I believe that he should have arrived here. He should have been there, I believe. Trump stated that he should be there, but he chose another path.

Meanwhile, Buttigieg — who has been viewed by Americans as relatively inaccessible and delayed regarding his response to transportation-related incidents — is still failing to answer key questions.

Video footage shows Buttigieg being removed from reporters and his press secretary talking to them instead. She refused to answer any questions, despite being in front of cameras.
The press secretary did not respond to questions regarding Why Buttigieg took so long to visit East Palestine following the departure of former President Donald Trump. Instead, she complained that cameras were distracting her from the important things.
